I didn’t plan on becoming an accountant. I’m glad I did.

I have a B.A. in Theology and Spanish from Wheaton College. My husband is a pastor, and years ago I started doing our own clergy taxes. I quickly realized two things: I loved doing taxes, and clergy taxes are extremely nuanced and confusing. Those realizations sent me back to school, this time for an A.A.B. in Accounting from Edison State, so I could help other people, especially ministers, with their own returns.

I’ve since done bookkeeping for a wide range of businesses and non-profits, from restaurants to churches to public relations firms. I’ve worked in a busy CPA office, and I have volunteered with VITA, the IRS’s free tax preparation program for lower-income taxpayers.

In short, I love what I do. I’d love to help bring that same clarity to your business or personal finances.
